Land's End to John o' Groats

Ian Aspey plans a trip from one end of Britain to the other on a Bullet 500 to raise money for the Midlands Air Ambulance. He will be recreating a feat achieved by Turvey and Davenport in 1950. They did it with a 350cc model G in 23 hours 57 minutes with 11.5 gallons of petrol. The ride was repeated as a promo for the Royal Enfield Continental GT. Several moto journalists rode from John o'Groats to Land's End, including taking fast laps at several motorcycle tracks, they completed the trip in slightly over 22 hours, Alan Hitchcock and other enthusiasts remembered that ride repeating the feat themselves on a big bore Bullet 612 in 2004, Last year Bruce Maconochie also completed a similar run to raise funds for Parkinson's disease. So Ian Aspey is in good company historically. Good luck Ian!
