Who would have known that only a month after actually being in Redditch, I come to discover Royal Enfield had yet another factory in town! And I walked right past it without noticing! According to Anne Bradford's book, the Royal Enfield production of cars took off in such a dramatic way in 1903 that the company needed to rent space in the British Mills building in downtown Redditch. Here is a picture of the building from the 1930's,

This is what the place looks today. It is on Birmingham Road, just around the corner from factory number 5 in Clive Road,
