The United Nations has come up with a solution for the medical problems in Sudan, the use of motorcycle ambulances. They claim that they can handle better the poor roads and are cheaper than regular ambulances. Royal Enfield already pioneered this concept in 1918 in the UK. Confirming my theory that the definition of horsepower must have changed, they claim the 6hp machine had no problem carrying the patient, stretcher, blankets, rider and a Red Cross orderly, uphill!
