Where in London?
The London Royal Enfield depot was destroyed in World War II by enemy action. The new depot after the war was at 221 Tottenham Court Road, a building that was also damaged during the war. According to REVS "The new premises will serve not only as a showroom but also as a distributing centre for London and the Home Counties. Whilst the newly decorated interior is adequate, plate glass windows are obviously needed. It is hoped to install these and to make extensive improvements in the near future",
The numbering on Tottenham Court Road is rather unusual. It does not seem to follow the pattern of even on one side, odd on the other. One side of the street at places appears of drop out of sync with the other with significantly different numbering. I couldn't find a 221 anywhere. Currently 220-224 Tottenham Court Road is occupied by Next Home, so I guess 221 corresponds to the window to the left of the main entrance,
