Hutt River

The Principality of Hutt River is a micro-nation in the west of Australia. It has claimed to be an independent sovereign state since its foundation but it is not recognized as such by the Commonwealth of Australia or any other international entity. Through a series of blunders by the Governor General's office, the state is now in a status of legal limbo, with the Commonwealth of Australia unable to challenge it. The Australian government cannot even levy taxes, when it attempted to do it in 1977 the Principality declared war!! The ruler of the Principality is HRH Prince Leonard I. He is a patron of the Royal Enfield Owners Club of Australia.
