Royal Enfield art

Readers of this blog have no doubt that Royal Enfields are objects of art. The Wieden and Kennedy ad agency in Delhi, in cooperation with Royal Enfield will host a two-day exhibition that celebrates The Art of Motorcycling. Motorcycle exhibits will range from the brand new Classic 500 to an exotic variety of customized Enfields from all over India. Art exhibits will include photography by renowned fine arts photographer Bharat Sikka, and digital art by the Indian art world’s rising star, Prasad Raghavan. Prints of their work will be available for purchase, as will a beautifully styled range of limited edition T-shirts, created especially for the occasion. To add some industrial art to the mix, master painters from the Royal Enfield factory in Chennai will be there to demonstrate their phenomenal tank-painting skills on visitor’s bikes, and Enfield’s Head of Product Design will give a talk on their design philosophy. This will also be the first art exhibition where visitors can actually ride the exhibits, as there will be brand new Classic 500 motorcycles available for test rides. Additional attractions include live music and cold beer, courtesy of... Budweiser (!).
