The telephonic coincidences

The Enfield Cycle company's phone number was Redditch 121 in 1930. The company advertised it had 5 phone lines, and that did not change until at least the end of World War II. By 1952, the situation had improved to 8 lines, and for 1960 there were 9 lines, and in 1964 the phone number changed to 4222, I have not been able to find later brochures to see how the story ended in the UK. But remarkably, one of the numbers of the main plant in Tiruvottiyur, Chennai, also starts with 422! And the city code for Chennai is the same as the international country code for the UK (44).
