I cannot help myself. I love finding that settings of old photos still exist today. Here is Johnny Brittain in his Royal Enfield Bullet 350 during the International Six Days Trials selection tests in July 1955 going through Llandrindod Wells, in the middle of Wales in a photo by Ed Stott published in The Gun issue 18. Ed points out that the bike looks pretty much stock, indicating the factory probably didn't have time to prepare them for this test and would complete preparations for the ISDT afterwards. This is what the place looks today.
