Comparing the picture of the Edinburgh Royal Enfield factory with what is left of it today, I notice there is something more than a wall left. One of the arches on the lower left part of the picture,
is still there,
I see the arch. Seeing it, I wonder how such an ancient looking wall ends up nearby an angular industrial building. Perhaps the arched retaining wall has a much earlier origin. The industrial building itself looks serviceable. Why would it be pulled down? All very interesting. This is a great series of articles you've done.
