Bienvenido Mr. Marshall!

Welcome Mr. Marshall is comedy considered by some as one of the masterpieces of Spanish cinema. It is the story of a small village in sleepy 1950's Spain that hears that American diplomats will visit and pull no stops in preparations to impress them in order to benefit from Dollars of the Marshall Plan. Playing on the stereotypes of both cultures, the movie shows the townspeople donning unfamiliar to them flashy Andalusian clothing, hiring a renowned flamenco performer and redecorating the town in Andalusian style and the locals having American related dreams like a Western bar brawl. The American diplomats arrived escorted by Royal Enfields.
