Édouard René Lefèbvre de Laboulaye was a French jurist, poet, author and anti-slavery activist. He provided the inspiration for the design of the Statue of Liberty in New York. His name is honored by the city of Laboulaye in the province of Cordoba, Argentina, pop. 19,000, where Royal Enfield is headquartered for the country. Check out their very cool showroom.
