Phatphatiyas
We have written about the chakdas of Gujarat. Apparently the Delhi version were the phatphatiyas. These were distinctive in that passengers would actually sit in two rows of four to six people on each side of the vehicle. Apparently some were Enfield-based but most were based on Indians and Harleys that were left over in World War II. How could the Greaves diesel engine cope with the load is beyond me.
