Interesting article but, unless I missed it, it completely ignores the saga of the aluminum AVL motor, which has been described as an interim step between the iron barrel and the UCE motor that either bought time or nearly destroyed the company, depending on how it is viewed. I wonder where it really fit in?
Yes, I guess it just makes the story too complicated for the short space they had...
