I'm favorable to the use of vegetable oils as a vehicle fuel, since it doesn't require so many chemical processings like biodiesel does. Even though it might appear that biodiesel wouldrequire one single chemical reaction, there's also the other reagents such as the alcohol (usually methanol) and the sodium lye that are also quite energy-intensive to produce.
