The centum weight (or hundredweight), abbreviated cwt, is a unit of mass equivalent to 112 pounds or 51 kilos. Readers of this blog know that nothing was impossible for the 6hp Enfield sidecar, so carrying 227 kilograms was a piece of cake! From The Motor Cycle, August 15th 1918.
