Hagrid's Motorbike Adventure

We spent the weekend in Orlando, Florida, with family, visiting the Universal Studios Theme parks. One of the parks has a section devoted to Harry Potter. It looks like an old English town,
It has storefronts with motion sensors that people wave magic wands at and things happen in them.

Readers of this blog know that in one of the Harry Potter movies he flies away in a Royal Enfield sidecar rig driven by Hagrid. Perhaps for that reason they have a similar rig on display (although the one in the movie was light blue),

Based on this they have constructed an impressive rollercoaster where the vehicles are trains of Royal Enfield sidecar rigs. It apparently is the longest rollercoaster in Florida. It features seven accelerated launches including one from 0 to 50 mph in 4 seconds! It also has a section where one climbs up and then falls back. And another section where the whole rig falls down vertically into a new track. Quite a bit of the motorcycle is there (the engine is fake) including the fenders, wheels, forks and even the handlebar controls,

Here is a video of an empty train of bikes going by,
Rollercoasters are not my thing. However, this one, in a riding position, made it more tolerable. Here is a picture they took of me with my wife in it.
