Readers of this blog are surely are aware of the
remarkable odyssey of Gordon May, who rode a 1953 Bullet from Manchester to Chennai in August-October 2008. I was not aware that a reverse of this feat had been accomplished earlier. Apparently the first Bullet to be built in India was ridden back to Redditch by Alfred Barboza and John Noranda in 1956. Unfortunately I was not able to find any information about this ride. I bet you their GPS failed and their VISA card was declined in Iran ;-)
