Madrid

Last week I was in Madrid, Spain, for a conference. The program was pretty intense but there was an afternoon off. I took advantage of it to tour some museums and to go to the Royal Enfield dealer. Alas, I ran late and arrived after 5pm and found them closed. The dealership is in an old street named San Pedro, number 13, a few blocks away from the famous Atocha train station,
Fortunately, they stored some of the bikes outside in the street, so  I got to see this beautiful UCE cafe racer, they call it the Clubman,
Close to it were what appeared to be a UCE Electra and an Iron Bullet. All had kickstarters.
I had a hard time taking pictures through the store window due to a lot of reflection, I could only get something by pressing the camera against the window, which didn't give me a great angle. Nevertheless here you see that they had a lot of Enfield paraphernalia, check out that Enfield helmet in the foreground.
The three bikes behind the helmet were a Trials (envy!), a Bullet standard and a C5.

  1. Nice item and good pix. You had better luck than I did on my visit to London!
