The patent

We have documented how Royal Enfield was able to get around Werners' patent and build a motorcycle that was less prone to slip-slide than their 1901 model. I was able to get a copy of the patent that did it all, opening the door for the 1903 new models. The "second generation" Enfields, if you wish. Notice how the rear wheel is driven from the camshaft rather than the crankshaft. Enjoy!
