Enfield explorers in the UK?

Spotted on Ebay UK, a 1980's Enfield Explorer. These were Zundapp-licensed machines produced in a plant that Enfield India used to have in Ranipet. The question is: were they systematically imported to the UK? At the time Banavar Imports was the importer. Otherwise it could be a one-time import, something rather unlikely for a small displacement moped.

  8. I have an Enfield Explorer. It is black and has Enfield logos but Zundapp engine cases. Would anyone have any information on where it was possibly imported from (obviously India originally).
