Enfield Z Drive

As we mentioned in a previous post, when Royal Enfield was broken into pieces towards the end of its existence, one piece ended up in the Isle of Wight producing, among other things, powerboats. The company appears to be defunct now, but one of its products is still being produced by Bob Knowles Plant Services Ltd. It is called the Enfield Z Drive and it appears to be very popular. It is an articulated mechanism for the propeller for boats with onboard engine. And yes, the little square logo with a gun pointing to the left is still there! Here is the service manual, and the US patent for the device.
