Royal Enfield's impressive 44% growth last year in the middle of a global recession is starting to get notice in the Western (and Eastern!) press. The Telegraph.Vancouver Sun.Taipei Times
Though that's also reflected in the growth in the India market as well (there are tons new Enfields around in India, and the price for older models have just about doubled), unfortunately in British Columbia, Canada, sales seem to have just about died off. My local dealer is actually going to stop carrying Enfields - basically due to no sales (hopefully someone else will pick it up). One other problem is quality control on the bikes - not the greatest actually. Royal Enfield in India really has to pick up on the materials and construction quality to compete in the west (though I still LOVE my 2010 Bullet!), Cheers Dave royalenfieldofdreams.blogpsot.com
