An Enfield rider invented the side-stand.

It seems to me it would be difficult to extend the stand with the foot while sitting on the machine. The problem is that the stand is covered and hidden by the floorboard. If the rider dismounts who will hold the machine upright while he bends and reaches down to extend the side stand? Not a perfect design. But a great historical item. Thanks, Jorge.
