Oh, those Brits. My dad, U.S. infantry in Britain in World War II, and his officer fell behind their convoy when their Jeep suffered a flat. The officer was concerned that they wouldn't find their way. My dad pointed out that it would be no problem, as the tanks in the convoy missed every turn, smashing into porches, ripping off awnings and flattening fences, an easy trail to follow. No wonder the American army was so "popular" in England.
