A couple of articles (here, here) claim Royal Enfield is the top selling motorcycle brand in the world. The articles are rather vague. I guess they are claiming that in the category of bikes over 250cc, Royal Enfield, selling 800,000+ bikes a year is the number one seller. It sounds plausible. Harley sells around 300,000 bikes a year, BMW 150,000 and Triumph and other brands less than that. The Japanese Four sell more (Honda a staggering 17 million), but I have not been able to determine how many of them are bigger than 250cc.
Is this the silliest motorcycle ad ever?
