One of the early posts in this blog was about the first motorcycle race in Ireland, won by John Paul Burney on a Royal Enfield in 1904. Now his great granddaughter Julie (also a rider) sent me some interesting material. There was a re enactment of the race in 2004 for its centenary and the VMCC made a commemorative plaque.
